The clients do a lot of entertaining, and desired easy access to the large terraces, especially from the upper level of the home. A new stream and pond were added adjacent to the stairs to make the journey to the garden more scenic and interesting. more>
NOVATO GARDEN
This garden is very long and narrow and is adjacent to a noisy, busy highway, requiring innovative solutions. An innovative fountain and stream were added to create enough noise to muffle the sound of the traffic. more>
MARINA VIEW
“Curb appeal, please” was the request from the owner of this new Bed and Breakfast in Bodega Bay. The dark, hazardous entrance was relocated, and entirely new lighting was designed around the stair, which was then surrounded by lovely drought-hearty and seacoast tolerant plantings. more>

The title of this garden is Serenity on a Fault Line, and it was conceptualized, designed and constructed during the days just prior to the beginning of the war in Iraq.
